÷ IMAGE ENHANCEMENT (PRO ONLY)
Once images and video clips have been captured, effective and easy to use tools including image enhancement are
available to apply to images and video sequences prior to export.
Functions include:
• Sharpen Filter
• Colour Adjustment
• Contrast & Brightness
• Zoom with interpolation
• Image Histogram Equalization
• Resolution Enhancement Filter
• Speed Adjustment (LITE/PRO)

The DCR video editor provides a quick and easy way of viewing video sequences from a variety of sources.
It also provides a way of reviewing video clips captured into an Active Case Folder during a session, viewing non-proprietary
video sequences or DVR video sequences from various media devices such as CD, DVD, BD or USB.
Although the video files may be distributed in a structured set of folders and sub folders, DCR will display a list of all video
files found on the device or case folder, allowing them to be viewed in turn (as shown) . Clicking on the file in the list will
load the file into the player. Apart from viewing and editing video files, a single image (the currently displayed frame) can
be exported to the Active Case folder, video can easily be trimmed and saved, or the entire clip can be exported and
encoded with the default selected codec. All options such as export codec etc can be defined in the system settings.
÷ CASE MANAGEMENT, DVD & BLU-RAY BURNING
The Case Management function uses information such as
exhibit or case references to create or append data to the
Active Case Folder in a local or networked storage drive.
When a case number is entered, a new folder is created if
it does not already exist and all images and video clips are
automatically named and saved to this location.
This feature in DCR automatically sorts and saves all
images and video clips and can be used to form part of a
networked solution with a central store of evidential images.
Active Cases can also be burned to CD/DVD or BD or archived to optical media, USB or network drives.
The DCR Image Browser provides a quick and easy way of viewing images from a variety of sources. Typically it provides
a way a reviewing images captured into an Active Case Folder during a session or viewing images from either a USB
device or camera memory card. Although images may be distributed in a structured set of folders and sub folders,
DCR will display a list of all image files found on the device or case folder, allowing them to be viewed in turn or displayed
in sequence or as a slide show. Images can be printed, or enhanced and exported back to the Active Case Folder.
